Sster tagged me in my second meme ever. So here goes...
Seven things to do before I die (not in order of priority):
1. Be a stay at home mama
2. Start my own business and treat my employees really, really well
3. Live abroad for a few years when my kids are old enough to appreciate it
4. Learn to cook like a gormet chef
5. Travel again to the Galapagos Islands and this time take my family
6. Exercise regularly
7. Live near my best friend again
Seven things I cannot do:
1. Remember to take my vitamins every day
2. Remember to wash my face before bed
3. (In the same vein as Sster) Stop eating cheese
4. Sleep when hubby is out of town (I'm so codependent like that)
5. Stop my food cravings
6. Drink eight 8oz glasses of water a day
7. Feel ok with people not liking me
Seven things that attract me to my spouse:
1. He's a fabulous stay at home dad
2. He's not afraid to do all of our home projects himself
3. He's a really good cook
4. He gets food cravings just like me
5. He's passionate about everything he does
6. He's very even tempered
7. He's attracted to me even when I have morning breath and look like crap
Seven things I say most often:
1. That's not for babies!
2. I'm sorry, you can't have a drink, this is mama's adult beverage
3. This is Susie (answering the phone)
4. I'm tired
5. Zaidee baby, you're the one. You make bathtime so much fun.... (continue with the Rubber Ducky theme song)
6. Right
7. How did we get the cutest kid in the world?
Seven books (or series) I love:
1. Tales of the City
2. Poisonwood Bible
3. How the Garcia Girls Lost Their Accents
4. The Bonesetter's Daughter
5. The kid: what happened after my boyfriend and I decided to go get pregnant: an adoption story
6. Of Love and Other Demons
7. Annie on My Mind
Seven movies I watch over and over again:
1. Bend it Like Beckham
2. Pieces of April
3. Father of the Bride (parts I and II)
4. O Brother Where Art Thou
5. But I'm a Cheerleader
6. Amelie
7. Garden State
Seven people I'm curious about that I'd like to join in:
1. Sedie
2. Barb (but I know she's really busy, so I'll give her a break if she doesn't get to it)
3. Marisa
4. Shelba
5. Beth
6. Ms. Boy Makes Three (not sure if she's public with her name)
7. Avonlea

Of course you have excellent taste in everything :), but I love some of those book choices, namely Poisonwood and Bonesetter's Daughter. Have you tried anything from Isabel Allende? For some reason, The House of the Spirits reminds me somehow of Bonesetter's Daughter.

Ok Suzie! You're on. It may not be today, but I'll get it up before the end of the week. BTW, you've got a great list of things here. It's so very interesting to get to know people by their answers. . . I'll post soon. Promise.

Cool lists.
Especially in light of the Hirshman debates, I'm curious about 1 and 2 on your list of things to do some day (be a sahm and start your own business): what's your dream timeline/business?
And have you read The Commitment, Dan Savage's new book? It's mostly about marriage, but the narrative portions are a nice follow-up to The Kid.

The drinking eight 8 oz. glasses of water a day?
A TOTAL MYTH. Comes from zero science. Does nothing for a healthy person except make you pee all the time.
In fact, drinking too much water is a lot more dangerous than drinking too little.
So, 1/7 less to fret over?

This means I'm going to have to think for a change, you know. Okay, give me a day or two and I'll get up my list.
Oh my gosh, do we say a lot of the same stuff. I even say, "Zoe-0oey, you're the one, you make bathtime lots of fun!"

Thanks for tagging me! My list is up. It is great reading other people's lists.
I love the Bonsetter's Daughter too and also, if you haven't read House of Spirits--it is a great book. Julie mentioned Allende which reminded me of Laura Esquivel--she wrote Like Water for Chocolate which is also a great book.
