yep - that's what i'm working on these days. i'm sorry my blog is so boring right now. i'm wanting to post, but the only things available for discussion are my work (boring) or my marathon home organization 2006! (why would you care, right?) so... i'm boring, ergo boring blog. really - apologies all around.
the marathon home organization 2006! is under way. i have a list! i have motivation! (hey - where did you come from?) i have supplies from storeables! i have a baby that naps for four hours a day! so i am having myself a pretty-up-the-house marathon. organization, i've learned in my first few weeks as a sahm, is key to being able to keep me and my family afloat.
today i conquered two of the four boxes of hubby's family china. they are neatly and safely packed away. away from the mold that was growing on the boxes, yuck, now in pretty canvas boxes. and i began the tackling of the laundry area. now the proud owner of a whole laundry system, i feel my laundry doing experiences will be much more pleasant. don't you agree? i like to do laundry.
intersperse above activities with work if you care to know of my real-time schedule of daily activities.
and, so, back to the boring-for-you-fun-for-me marathon! i must go. there are laundry detergent spills to sweep and change to sort. whee hee!
you crack me up.
glad you're having a good time! I, too, get pleasure out of mass cleaning projects and being really really orgainzed. I adore it more than I'd like to admit.
And then I like to complain about how much work I have been doing (hand goes dramatically to forehead) and how my husband should really really appreciate it.
Aren't I awful???

Oh... I'm much, much interesting in home organization projects, they're not boring at all to me, since it's so much easier and enjoyable to read about other people getting organized than getting to work and organizing my SUPER MESSY house. Hey, maybe you can post pictures, what about that?

I mean to say "much interested"... sorry :)

Why, I'd love to see inspiring pictures of your storeables and your highly organized home!

Man I wish you could spread some of that motivation. My house is an absolute MESS! I have all of the organizational ideas in my head, but none of the motivation. Hopefully it will come next weekend.

Organization is something I can get into! Sounds like you are making progress and enjoying the process. . . I like to do laundry too.

I love storage items and organization. I actually DAYDREAM about such things, so I'm not bored at all. Would love to see pictures of laundry system! I am jealous because we don't have the space for something like that...yet.

Yeah, I don't have an organized bone in my body! I'm not much of a cleaner, either, which is why we hire someone to come in to clean. Shocking, isn't it?!

I'll have to get around to organizing (read: stuffing and hiding things) in the living room and cosy area -- too much yarns, WIPs and pattern books!

:) Would you believe that I really, really enjoy organizing so posts about it would absolutely enthrall me. *drools over storables*

I am only now getting to the point at which I feel like I have a reliable and internalized system. I had no idea the whole housewife gig would be so hard, but it is, it really is. Because if I take a day off my "system" or if it gets off for some reason, there is always hell to pay.
And now, just as it's getting smoother, we are expecting another baby and aquiring more housing space. Here comes another steep learning curve...
Have fun organizing. I wish I could get Nat onto a three or four hour nap instead of two shorter ones.

Delurking to say - I just made my first trip to Storables last weekend. I am jealous of your 4 hour napper, mine slept for the 20 minutes it took my husband and I to put together our restaurant-style shelving in the kitchen after the Storables trip.
